Need Questions for #JvJ2 at RIAUnleashed

THIS WEEK. Boston. Jesse Warden (@jesterxl) defends his title against Jesse Freeman (@CodeBum) in a followup to our smashingly successful, controversial and in-your-face JvJ debate from 360Flex DC. Those on hand in DC (fact check: suburban Maryland) witnessed an intellectual throwdown where Warden narrowly won. Plans were immediately in the works for a follow up and Brian Rinaldi, organizer extraordinaire of RIAUnleashed booked the act for this week’s conference. Upon the announcement, a whopping 100 additional tickets were sold (fact check: probably not, but likely).

I have the honor of producing and mediating this debate again — presiding over a clash of two of the brightest and most outspoken minds in the Flash community. The topic, this time, is Mobile app development. Warden will defend Flash development while Freeman will counter with arguments in favor of native app development. I’m told both developers have equal native and Flash mobile experience.

THIS. WILL. BE. AWESOME.

And we need your help. While last time I came up with most of the questions (which probably made the event better than it otherwise would have been…), we need you to ask questions to the developers. Comment on this post OR Tweet @chuckstar (<<< me) with your question and the hashtag #JvJ2.

Examples:
"@chuckstar Why would someone use a Flex Datagrid in mobile development? #JvJ2"
"@chuckstar Why bother learning Obj C or Java when I'm already a master of AS3? #JvJ2"
"@chuckstar Are there features I can develop using native code that I can't with AS3? #JvJ2"

I'll pick those most compelling questions that I feel will challenge (make the contestants look smarter than they are) and use them in the debate! It's as if you got to actually talk to Warden or Freeman directly, but instead, through me.

So, see you for JvJ2, Thursday night at the MIT Museum during the RIAUnleashed Networking Event.
