Yahoo! Maps featured in Adobe Photoshop Elements 5.0

December 1, 2006

I just got a fresh copy of Adobe Photoshop Elements 5.0 featuring Yahoo! Maps.
The popular software uses the Yahoo! Maps Flash API to let users position photos anywhere on the map.

I am very proud of this integration, as it proves the quality and stability of the Flash API and map services worthy of inclusion in a classy application the likes of Adobe Photoshop. With the whole web 2.0 explosion, mashups and apis becoming common web-speak, it’s easy to forget that APIs originally were used as interfaces between applications. It reminds you of how a single implementation of an API in a desktop application can reach a large set of users so easily.

A sign of things to come with Apollo?…

How come that Yahoo! Maps is not available in the Swedish version?
